The Bahia Palace and the El Badi Palace
Less than 10 minutes from the Riad, these two palaces are major monuments of the country's cultural heritage. The Bahia Palace, built in the 19th century, spreads over 8 hectares. You will admire its unique architecture and Moroccan art: moucharabiehs, sculpted plasters, painting on beech and cedar wood, zelliges, stained glass windows etc. All this organized around numerous courtyards, patios and lush green gardens. The El Badi Palace, built at the end of the 16th century, is today used as a stage for an annual humoristic Festival.
The Saadian Tombs
This major attraction, a true historical gem, is located in the Kasbah district, about twenty minutes on foot from the riad. A unique example of Hispano-Moorish decorative art, this royal necropolis dating from the time of the Saadian dynasty is partly classified as a UNESCO world heritage site.
The Majorelle Gardens and the Yves-St Laurent Museum
Designed by the French painter Jaques Majorelle in 1922, this gigantic 9,000 square meter garden of exotic plants and trees lives in the heart of the city. This must-see attraction in Marrakech will immerse you in a moment of poetry and romance. You will need to reserve your tickets in advance.
Medina, souks and Jamma El Fna Square
